About BVFF

BVFF was founded in December 2011 through an agreement between the Swedish Transport Administration, The Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, and the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, VTI. In 2014 Ramboll Sverige AB joined the programme.

BVFF will complement other efforts, such as Bygginnovationen and IQ Samhällsbyggnad, through limiting the scope and focussing on collaboration within the sector of road and railway technology.

The Swedish road and railway industry is dominated by big public clients with the whole society as customers. Thereby, collaboration is necessary in order to create and develop markets and satisfy demands on a sustainable and efficient transport system. By joining BVFF, a member organization has a unique chance to take an active part in and influence the development in this sector.

The work in BVFF will be divided into three collaboration areas where the questions of what and why are clearly separated from the executional and methodological issues (how).
