NEWS!
From project call 2020:2, there are two different application options:
• In the first, you only fill out BVFF's form, as usual. For those who do not get rejected, the decision-making process takes a little longer since we first give a preliminary decision and ask for additional information (Trafikverket's "Project specification - FOI"). Together with your designated contact at Trafikverket/ the Swedish Transport Administration, you fill out and submit the form after which a final decision can be made by Trafikverket.
• In the second option, you fill out both BVFF's form AND Trafikverket's Project specification and an ULF template from start. You can choose this option if you have an established contact at Trafikverket and you should then fill out the form jointly with your contact. If everything is filled out correctly, you can get a final decision faster. If the form is incomplete the process will be delayed. When we open the call, you will find the document link (to both the project specification and the ULF template) in our application form. Submit both forms in their original file format in an email directly to bvff@vti.se and state which project title they concern.
TRL - Technology Readiness Level
TRL 2-7 is relevant to BVFF, where it is important to focus on the development of new knowledge at higher TRL levels rather than at present being assessed at a certain level. You find information about TRL here.
Regulatory documents
The areas covered by BVFF's financing are target areas and programs in Trafikverket's research and innovation plan for the years 2021-2026 primarily limited to the needs in Trafikverket's portfolio “Vidmakthålla”, but also, to a certain extent, to the portfolio “Planera” and “Bygga”. All project proposals should address the target area in one - or more - of the portfolios.
We recommend that you read the BVFF Program Description (Pdf in Swedish) with instructions for project financing.
